The Tourbus Junior

Gibson also wanted to find ways to make simple and affordable guitars, while maintaining the spirit of their brand, and one of their most successful models in that category was the Les Paul Junior, which has greatly inspired my Tourbus Junior.

It has a solid walnut body with flat top, a maple neck with walnut fingerboard, one mini-p90 in the bridge position – simple and effective. The wood I use is locally sourced, and the stainless steel bridge with fixed saddles was specially designed for this electric travel guitar, the Tourbus Junior.

The Hardware

The bridge, made of a stainless steel plate and brass or stainless steel saddles, has been specially developed for the Tourbus Junior. Once adjusted, the saddles are screwed onto the plate, eliminating any play and vibrations. The pressure at the bridge is maximized by the through-body strings, ensuring perfect contact between the saddle and the string, with minimal losses at the bridge.

The Gotoh SG360 tuning machines were chosen for their robustness, precision, and reliability.

The body-neck assembly is secured with four screws and a stainless steel plate.
